Born and raised by the Caribbean Sea, Katjana’s connection to the natural world began early. After studying Communication Science and Sustainable Development in the Netherlands, she set out to translate complex environmental challenges into stories people can see, feel, and understand. With over a decade of experience, she’s found that much of science never reaches the wider public — often because it feels too complex or distant. That’s where she steps in.

Her work bridges science, emotion, and creativity — from eye-to-eye moments with hammerhead sharks in the Galápagos and experiencing the vast Arctic landscapes to collaborations with brands and organisations driven by purpose. Through film, photography, and writing, she captures the raw connection between people and planet.

By merging her analytical background with her artistic eye, Katjana invites audiences to reconnect with nature and reflect on their own impact. Every story she tells is an invitation to pause, to feel, and to protect the beauty that connects us all.
